Staff of the Sisters of Mercy Congregation Office gathered on Holy Thursday for a reflection around the theme “On the Table of the World”. During the pouring of the water, the following prayers were offered.

With the bowl and towel, there is compassion.

For our world and others, we are ready to give and empower.

With the bowl and towel, there is humility.

On the table of the world, we serve those who are close and loved by us.

With the bowl and towel, there is understanding.

For our world and others, we share our gifts and serve in a variety of ways.

With the bowl and towel, there are broad horizons.

One the table of the world, we see the pain and need of many people and Earth.

With the bowl and towel, there is a reminder of Jesus.

For our world and others, we see and follow Jesus’ example.
