On the evening of Thursday 21 June 2012, the Congregation Leadership Team formally welcomed members of Inaugural Mercy Heritage Centre Governing Board into the Brisbane family of Mercy Sponsored Ministries. In commissioning the new Board at Mercy Place, Bardon, Sr Sandra Lupi, Congregation Leader, invited the Board members to journey with the Sisters and members of all the Mercy Ministries, in taking the vision of Mercy out into the community.
The Board members (pictured) come from a variety of backgrounds and experience, each bringing their own special gift of life and vitality to the Mercy Heritage Centre, yet all sharing the desire to keep alive the richness of the Mercy tradition.
In receiving a candle from members of the Congregation Leadership Team each Board member was asked to be a holder of the light of Mercy. Mrs Lisa Eastment accepted the invitation from Sr Sandra to take on the role of inaugural Board Chair and is pictured receiving her candle from Sr Sandra.
